Ann Marantette, a cherished sister, aunt, cousin, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on May 3, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Ann grew up in Grosse Pointe, where she attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart. About fifty years ago Ann moved to Arizona to be close to her retired Parents.
From an early age, Ann loved all animals, especially horses, which she rode competitively in her youth. As an avid knitter, Ann created gifts for the entire Family, many friends, and charities. She is survived by her loving brothers Tom (Bonnie), Larry (Carol), and Carter (Kathy); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Mary Lou, and her brother David. Ann and her Family have been blessed for close to fifty years by the care provided by Susana Chavez and her Family. For the past two years Team A-1 of Hospice of the Valley has provided exceptional care to Ann. The Marantette Family is deeply appreciative of their love and care.
To honor Ann's life, Ann will lie instate on Friday, June 27th from 11:30 am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley please acknowledge HOV Team A-1.
