Ann Marie (Belcastro) Meyhoefer, 88 years old passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 26, 1936. Ann Marie is the daughter of the late Thomas Belcastro and Vera Festa. She was the mother of seven children in which she dedicated her life to. She worked at Upstate Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and making clothes for her daughters. She enjoyed cooking for her family especially on Sunday's when she made her famous sauce and meatballs.
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard J Meyhoefer Sr. of 61 years, her brother, Patsy Ciccarone (Joan), her two sons, Emilio James and Michael James, and her first born granddaughter, Annmarie Lannie and her granddaughter in law, Andrea Scott Bristol.
She is survived by her children, Linda Kimpland of Syracuse, Cindy Lannie of Syracuse, Joseph Meyhoefer (Carrie) of Syracuse, Richard J Meyhoefer Jr. of East Syracuse and Catherine Meyhoefer Ilacqua (Frank) of Oneida, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Marie Mento (Frank) Florida, Ricka Conway of Oklahoma and her brother, Raymond Garcia (Dora) of Florida.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, New York, 13212. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Church located on James Street, Syracuse, NY at 10:30am followed by a Catholic Burial at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. All friends and family are welcome.
