Laura Ann Mason, 82, of Beaufort, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.
Our Lord and Ms. Ann’s savior let her live one last birthday here on Earth and then called her home one day after her 82nd birthday.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Beaufort. Burial will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8:00 PM at the church.
She is survived by her lap dog, Sadie Bell; two sons, John Thomas Moore Jr. and wife Julie Moore of Morehead City, and Mark Moore of Beaufort. Grandchildren, Carolina Costa of Beaufort, Meredith Traiser of Beaufort, Brook South and husband Josh South of Newport, Shelby Moore of Morehead City, Kyndal Respers of Beaufort, Abby Moore and Phillip Hunt of Beaufort, Mason Moore of Beaufort, Parker Moore of Beaufort; and seven great-grandchildren; Rebecca Moore, Kinley South, Arianna Respers, Ahliyah Costa, A.J. Costa, Kalel Hunt, and Jaxson Hunt, all of Beaufort.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Dale Mason and Laura Sadler Mason; one sister, Barbara Louis Dudley, one brother, Herbert Mason, the father of her children, John “Tommy” Moore Sr., and her one and only daughter, Angela Moore Roberts.
