Ann Karlene McCulligh, age 82, passed away at home in Carrollton on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born on September 6, 1941, in Perry, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Eudell Blue and the late Gertrude Shaw Blue.
Ann was a 1959 graduate of Taylor County High School. She enjoyed going to the beach and all things related to the water and also enjoyed gardening. But most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as siblings and extended nieces and nephews and their families. Ann was excited for the birth of her new family members and loved participating in any family activity and would travel wherever they were to be a part of their lives. She was affectionately known as Aunt Sissy by many and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Her survivors include her children, Joni Osteen Farmer (Doyle) of Carrollton, Sherry Osteen Tuten of Perry, FL, Jimmy Dale "Ricky" Osteen, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, and Spence Osteen (Carrie) of Perry, FL; two brothers, Samuel Kenneth Blue (Linda) of Perry, FL and Keith Blue (Angela) of Wedowee, AL; and one sister, Newana Blue Beatty of Birmingham, AL. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren, Robert Hyman, Tiffany Osteen, Kourtney Wilkins (Tyler), Brandon Osteen (Maegan), Haley Osteen; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, FL on June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family as for donations to the Parkinson's Foundation or charity of your choice.
The family would like to give a special appreciation to Gentiva Hospice nurses and staff for their gentle and loving care of the entire family.
Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
