She later met the love of her life Paul Melling and was married to him for time and all eternity on May 10 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They purchased a home in Sunset, UT where she lived out the remainder of her life.
Ann worked at Hill Air Force Base in numerous capacities during her 31-year career and received many accolades from her superiors for her diligence and outstanding performance. She was very dedicated in all of her life’s endeavors. She was an active member of the LDS church and found great joy in serving her Lord. She held various callings over her lifetime including positions in the Primary, Sunday school, Relief Society and more. She volunteered her time to the community and local school where she assisted children with reading and comprehension skills.
Ann had a passion for rockhounding, history and reading. She loved travelling throughout the Western United States with her family in their motorhome seeking out unique gems, minerals, fossils, artifacts and other adventures. She had many talents, among them sewing, tole painting, scrapbooking, needlepoint, doing crochet among others and she used these talents to enrich the lives of others frequently gifting her projects.
Her family was unquestionably the greatest joy of her life. She was a devoted wife and raised four children whom she dearly loved. She dedicated the rest of her life to nurturing and caring for them, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent countless hours seeing that their every need was met and worked many late nights sewing dance costumes, typing term papers and doing many other projects too numerous to list. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren always came first and were her greatest priority in life. She would always find time for her family.
