Mark Ray Henzi, 67, of Layton Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren on January 29, 2026, at his residence in Layton. He was born to Walter Ernst Henzi and Beth Jensen on April 1, 1958, in Ogden Utah. He graduated from Layton High School. Married his sweetheart Anna McClure on June 18, 1988, in Kaysville Utah. They were married for 37 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked at Hill Air-Force Base for 32 years. Those years were served in the wing shop, building 238, and at the DRMO. He retired in April of 2018.

Mark was always fond of the outdoors. Camping was his favorite hobby. He enjoyed the time spent with his family, and man’s-best-friend Karee, especially at Sourdough Wilderness Ranch. Many memories and laughter have been made there over the years. He loved listening to his dear wife play the violin. He never missed an opportunity to support his children and grandchildren in their various activities, interests, and performances. He was well known for his teasing, in fact that was often an indicator that you knew he was doing well. You would often find him sitting in his comfy chair in the garage, with his music blasting and waving to by passers and neighbors. St. George was a Favorite place of retreat.

He is survived by his wife Anna Henzi, his children, Tyson Henzi, Maria (Joe) Everton, Seth (Lexie) Henzi, Valerie (Leland) Stenquist, and stepdaughter Brittni Gibson; siblings, Diann (Kent) Fryer, Janell (Clay) Perschon, Jill (Randy) Voss, Cara (Tim) Bradshaw, Todd (Cindy) Henzi, and 15 Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Beth Henzi and nephew Jake Bradshaw and two beloved dogs Pepsi and Karee.

We want to thank those at Fairfield Village, Thatcher Brook, IHC, McKay Dee hospital, Atlas, CNS and Hospice for the care they lovingly gave Mark.

Funeral Services will be held Monday February 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house, 625 Country Creek Dr. Layton, Utah.
