Ann Morrison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson Funeral Home on Jan. 28, 2026.
Ann C. Morrison, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at David Simpson Hospice House, at the age of 81. Born on September 16, 1944, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Ann lived a life dedicated to compassion, family, and the joys of simple pleasures.

With a heart drawn to nurturing others, Ann chose a career in nursing that spanned several decades. She brought comfort and care to countless individuals as a Registered Nurse at Hillcrest Hospital and later at Lake Hospital System. In 2000, Ann retired, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and dedication.

Throughout her life, Ann found joy in her associations and hobbies. Her involvement with the Pipefitters 120 Retirement Club allowed her to maintain connections that were both supportive and enriching. Her strong faith was reflected in her commitment to the Church of the Brethren, where she participated actively for many years. Ann delighted in watching cooking shows, using them as inspiration to create dishes that would become family treasures. Her coconut cream pie was the star of many gatherings and will be remembered as the best ever by all who had the pleasure of tasting it. She spent countless hours bird watching and feeding the birds that visited her yard. Her intellectual curiosity remained sharp as she often indulged in the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.

Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Jim; her 3 beloved sons, Jimmy (Justine), Andy, and Reece; 2 cherished grandchildren, Parker and Anika; and her sister Geraldine "Gerry" (Charles) Pillow. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Geraldine Zelinski; and brothers, Charles and Sam Zelinski.

A Celebration of Life will be held.

Heartfelt condolences to Ann's family. My favorite memories are the post-Thanksgiving-dinner games of Quiddler and of course her famous turkey cookies
