Ann Napierkowski Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ann (Rybicki) Napierkowski, 100, of Natrona Heights on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026. She was born June 21, 1925, in Steubenville, OH, to the late Jacob and Valentina (Wypiski) Rybicki. Ann was a 1943 graduate of Har-Brack High School and attended the Maison Frederich Beauty Culture School in Pittsburgh. She owned her own beauty shop, and after it closed, she did perms and cut hair for friends and family, keeping her license active until she was in her 70s. Ann retired in 1984 from the central supply department of Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights, the Ladies Guild, and the Ambassador Club of the church and worked the Monday night bingo with her lady friends. Ann enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, shopping, and dancing (boy, could she cut a rug). She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching them how to cook and playing with them well into her 90s. She rarely missed one of their baseball or softball games. Ann is survived by her son, Timothy (Susan) Napierkowski; son-in-law, David Bloch; grandchildren, Megan (William) Lindley, Amy (Brian) Carney, Chanda (Anthony) Signorella, David Mark (Kelly) Bloch, and T. Jared (Amy) Napierkowski; and also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Napierkowski; daughter, Karen Bloch; son, Walter (Tom) Napierkowski; brother, Theodore Rybicki; and sisters, Jean Bradley, Evelyn O'Malley, and Violet Sterling. Please do not mourn her; rejoice for her 100 years of life. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, in CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights (724-224-8688). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ann may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/pa, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
