Ann Pehanick, 100 years young, entered into eternal life on Thursday evening at home, surrounded by her loved ones, to be reunited with her husband, Michael. Ann was the widow of Michael Pehanick, who passed in June of 2019; they were married for 72 years at the time of his death.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Paul Gillick Jr. and Julia Durkot Gillick. Ann was a graduate of West Scranton High School, retired from the garment industry, and was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Scranton. She was a devout Catholic whose faith guided her life. Ann found great comfort in prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary and faithfully watched daily Mass.

Ann is survived by her three daughters: Ann Marie Ives and her husband, Harry, of Moscow; Michele Pehanick of Roaring Brook Township; and Linda Lehnert and her husband, Frank, of Clarks Summit; three grandchildren, Kimberly Hart; Frank M. Lehnert and his boyfriend, Andrew; and Matt Lehnert and his fiancée, Kelly Beichler; two great-grandchildren, Jake and Julia Hart; two sisters, Joann Sibio and her husband, Anthony, and Dorothy Husvar; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by six siblings: Theresa Dyer, Paul Gillick Jr, William Gillick, Irene Senchak, Margaret Labosky, and Mary Baron; and one grandson, Keith Ives.

A Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Linden Street at Mifflin Avenue, at 10:00 a.m. by the Rev. Fr. Roman Vasylynka,

Pastor. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.

A viewing will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., with a Panachyda Service at 6:30 p.m., in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 310 Mifflin Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503.
