MOUNT CARMEL - Ann M. Polinski, 98, of 233 S. Locust St., passed away Monday Jan. 20, 2025, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.
She was born in Mount Carmel, Oct. 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Sarisky) Sarisky.
She was a 1945 graduate of Mount Carmel High School.
Ann worked as a seamstress for 43 years at the former Humberland Dress Factory, in Mount Carmel. She enjoyed sewing and did so for many of her friends.
On July 2, 1949, at the former St. John the Baptist Church, she married Andrew E. Polinski, who preceded her in death, March 16, 1990.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a former member of the former St. John the Baptist Church and Holy Cross Church, a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union and JEDNOTA (First Catholic Slovak Union).
Ann was a very loving and caring person. She had taken care of her mother and husband for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Polinski, of Mount Carmel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Polinski, Jan. 4, 2021; a brother, John Sarisky; a grandson, David Polinski; two sisters, Dorothy Bottari and Marie Gabriele; a nephew, John Sarisky Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Vincent Bottari and Sam Gabriele; and a sister-in-law, Theresa Sarisky.
POLINSKI - Ann M. Polinski, 98, of 233 S. Locust St., Mount Carmel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with the Very Rev. Francis Karwacki, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 47 S.
