Ann Marie was born in Charlotte, NC, on June 18, 1952, to Dale Wilson Bogguss and Mary Stroud Peterson Bogguss. She attended North Mecklenburg High School, graduating in 1970, before earning her Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Ann dedicated her career as a BSN, serving at Gwinnett Hospital, then at the Henry County Health Department, before joining the State Department of Health as a Tuberculosis Coordinator, where she worked until her retirement.
She had a deep love for painting, traveling, and genealogy research. Ann was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), where she actively assisted with new membership applications at the state level.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Bogguss; sister Lynn Bogguss; and brother Pete Bogguss.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years together Patrick E. Poole, of Ellijay, GA; sister Lola Bogguss; son Jason Poole and his wife Jeri, along with their children Zolan, I'ason, Baelin, Aveon, and Kielan; son Joseph Poole and his son Enzo; nieces Isabel Sloop and nephews Ian Bogguss and Stephen Sloop.
Ann was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend. She had a gift for seeing things from a different perspective and was always the voice of reason. Her selflessness and dedication to her family, career, and DAR left a lasting impact on those she helped throughout the years. Her love for the arts was evident in her beautiful and meaningful paintings, and she found great joy in visiting museums and theaters.
