Ann O’Kelly Sorrells, 90, of Cumming, GA passed away January 6, 2024. Mrs. Sorrells was born in Cumming, GA to the late Raymond and Emma Mooney O’Kelly. Ann was a lifetime member of Brookwood Baptist Church where her husband’s family donated the land the church was built on. Ann was a faithful Christian who loved her family dearly. Mrs. Sorrells enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Sorrells; brothers, Danny O’Kelly and Frankie O’Kelley. She is survived by her son & daughter in-law, David and Juliet Sorrells; grandchildren, Jason Sorrells, Troy Sorrells, Raina & Matt Crowe; and 9 great grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, Jackson, Andrew, Trinity, Rachel, Bethany, Elijah, Samuel; sisters and brothers in-law, Teresa & Mike Glover, Opal & Donald Hutchins; nephew, Doug & Melba Sorrells; numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Brookwood Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Tommy Weldy officiating. Mrs. Sorrells will lie in state at the church 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Friday, January 12, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home. 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
