Ann M Spears, a loving mother of three passed away at the age of 83 at the Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, CO.

Ann was born in South Korea and was given the name Kumsun Yi. She spent her childhood there until her mid twenties. She had her first born child Johnny in Korea.

Ann eventually came to the United States and living in Fort Huachuca, AZ. She had another son, Michael, and a daughter named Melissa. She eventually settle in Aurora, CO and raised her family. She was a devoted mother and only wanted the best for her three children. She was the kindest, generous, toughest woman and she instilled her work ethic into her children. They always appreciated and cherished her. Ann worked many jobs to support her children and never complained about it.

Ann met her husband, Sgt. Carl E Spears at Buckley Airforce Base in Aurora, CO in 1986. She worked at the mess hall which Carl managed. August 8th, 1987, Ann and Carl married and lived their life to the fullest. Carl took Ann's children as his own and they accepted him the same. Ann got to see the world being married to Carl. In 1989 Ann was able to go with Carl to his next station on Rhein Main AFB in Germany. She was able to explore most of Europe. In 1993 they came back to Aurora, CO to live out their lives. Over the years Ann and her husband got to take cruises and see other parts of the world and have wonderful memories.

Ann continued to work at the commissary part time at Buckley AFB, when most her age were retired. She liked seeing her co-workers at the commissary and getting out of the house. She wasn't the type of person to sit still. She was an incredible person and she loved her family. Ann was a devoted wife and mother to her three children.

1:30pm on Friday January 23rd 2026, Ann will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery 4400 W Kenyon Ave Denver 80236 with her husband.
