Ann Bailey Stevens, age 85, of Verona, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY.

Ann was a retired secretary with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and a proud member of Eastern Star Chapter #441 in Ghent, KY. She found great joy in reading, participating in Bible studies, and faithfully attending New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona, where she was a devoted, long-time member. Ann was known to never forget and birthday and to send a birthday card to all those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Adah (Smith) Bailey; her husband, William M. Stevens; her brothers, Lee Thomas Bailey and James Walter Bailey; and her sister, Daisey Mae Marston.

Ann is survived by her step-son, William M. Stevens, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Janice Bailey; nieces, Kim Brown (Gene) and Amy Thompson (Keith); nephews, Tim Bailey (Kim) and Jeff Marston; ten great nieces and nephews and sixteen great-great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Ann will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., with an Eastern Star Service beginning at 12:45 p.m at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N. Main St., Walton, KY 41094. Her funeral service will begin immediately following the Eastern Star Service, at approximately 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment, for Ann, will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
