Barbara “Ann” Taylor, 88 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at St Mary's Regional Medical in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born March 7, 1936 in London, England to Norman Samuel Kent and Marion Dyson Kent. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Jane Hughes Dyson; grandfather, Robert Harry Dyson, all of Kingston Upon Thames.
She was owner of Russellville Dance & Gymnastics for 45 years. She began ballet lessons at age 4 and continued to dance until she retired from her studio in 2019. She danced with the Royal Academy of London and professionally throughout Europe before opening up her training center in the River Valley in 1974.
She is survived by her children, Dan Taylor and Melissa of Silver Spring, Md. James Taylor of Russellville, Jane Taylor Vodrazka and Keith of Raleigh, NC, Grandchildren, Brennan Vodrazka and Christine of Raleigh, Maren Vodrazka of Riverside, Ca, Carson Taylor of Kent Island, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Jude, Johnnie Vodrazka and one more on the way all of Raleigh.
Her visitation will be 1-2pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel with the funeral service to begin at 2pm, after the visitation. Burial will be private.
