Ann F. Thoele

Ann F. Thoele died peacefully on November 10, 2023, at home, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 23, 1933 in Oak Park, IL to the late John and Alice Fannon. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, to whom she was married 64 years.
Ann was much loved by her kids, John and Jane, her daughter-in-law Regina (Glasscock), son in law Dan (Pfeiffer) and was the very proud "Granny" to her four grandchildren, Andy (Amy), Molly, Mitchell and Maggie.
Ann loved every minute of her life in Elmhurst. She was a graduate of York High School and Northern Illinois State Teachers College. She was a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary School and taught Sunday School at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. She worked as a Program Secretary for the Elmhurst YMCA. Ann's goal in life, at which she was very successful, was to keep all friends together. She believed "once a friend, always a friend". She was the glue that kept her fellow York Dukes, Sigma sisters, and Argyle family together. She loved spending time documenting every special moment in her many scrapbooks and hanging with her church "bunchies" and former Kindergarten kids.
A Celebration of Life will take place on December 2, 2023 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 235 S. Kenilworth Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126 with a visitation starting at 10am and the Celebration at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Church.
