ANN MARIE "NANCY" VANDERVOORT, 84, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, at home. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and has resided in Howell Twp. for 38 years.

Nancy was a communicant of The Church of St. Veronica, Howell Twp.

Her family was the light of her life, along with her faith and service to the community. She was involved with Bible Study, travel and pilgrimages and was a coordinator for Al-Anon. Ann Marie enjoyed bowling and always had a song on her lips.

She was predeceased by her parents, John J. and Ellen McDonnell; her brothers, Frank McDonnell, Tom McDonnell and Jack McDonnell and his wife, Noreen; and by her husband Gerard in 2005. Ann Marie is survived by her children, Kathleen Winstead and her husband, Gene, Mary Caronna and her husband, Peter, Jeannie Vandervoort and Irene Vandervoort Alvarez and her husband, Raul and Paul Van der Voort and his wife, Lori; she was beloved "Nana" to her grandchildren: Jason Caronna and his wife, Brenda, Christopher Caronna, Tara Zegray and her husband, Steven, Haley Winstead, Grace Van der Voort and Joseph Van der Voort; her great-granddaughter, Natalie Caronna; and by her many cherished nieces and nephews and family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 and Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Rt. 9, Howell, NJ. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ. For directions, further information and to send condolence message to the family, please select the appropriate tab.
