Ann T. Williams, age 81, passed away unexpectedly at Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Ann was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 16, 1942, to the late Hugh Bonner and Rose McColgan Bonner who met in Brooklyn after both had immigrated from Donegal, Ireland.

Ann graduated from St. Teresa of Avila High School in Brooklyn. On May 20, 1967, Ann married Patrick Joseph "Joe" McCormick and they have one daughter, Kelly Ann. After Joe's passing in 1976, Ann devoted her life to lovingly raising Kelly to whom she was not only the best mom but best friend. They had some difficult times but always said "We can get through anything as long as we have each other - that's all we need." They moved to Bradenton in 1983. They enjoyed going on vacations, to concerts and other things together and just spending time together at home.

Ann brought joy to all who knew her, and many people commented on her kindness, concern for others and positive attitude even as she battled cancer. Throughout her illness she continued to worry more about others than herself, find things to be grateful for and never lost her beautiful smile.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was predeceased by her sister, Cathy Donohue. Ann is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly; as well as her sisters, Marie DeDora, Rose Ward, Beatrice Leheny, and Patricia Payne; brothers, Hugh Bonner and Owen Bonner; her cousin, Jane Sava, who Ann always said was more like a sister than a cousin, and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was a member of Ss Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church.

A Memorial Service will be held 9:30 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Ss Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 7th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.

I heard so much about "Mom" from Kelly. Once I met Ann face to face I realized Kelly hadn't been exaggerating how special she was, and how amazing their relationship has always been. Ann was always kind, generous, thoughtful, and funny. She passed those attitudes on to her daughter, Kelly, whom I'm sure will honor her by continuing to share the light with others.

Kelly, your mom was a wonderful neighbor and friend to not only me but to so many at Horizon townhouses. She was the strongest most positive woman I know, her strength was Faith driven. I will miss her dearly! Especially our marathon phone conversations. Know that you have neighbors and friends here to help you! Love and heartfelt sympathy, Fran

Kelly, your mom was a constant bright light. She was always so positive and happy with that beautiful smile. I loved seeing the two of you at Mass on Sundays. I am so glad she was able to watch us bowl and "pig out" with us at the annual bowling party. I know your heart is shattered. Steve and I will continue to pray for you.
