Ann S. Winter (82) of Lancaster, Pa passed away on Saturday November 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Ann was born in Lancaster to the late Alvin H. and Sarah A. (Scott) Stoner.
Ann was a graduate of McCaskey High School and worked in various administrative positions before retiring including for Bell Telephone, Lancaster Guidance Center, Lancaster Country Day School, Lancaster Theological Seminary and Community Services Group. Early in her retirement she kept busy by working part-time at Weaver's Dry Cleaners on McGrann Blvd, Lancaster.
She maintained her independence until the end and enjoyed shopping, especially at Marshalls, watching Jeopardy, and keeping in touch with family and friends through phone calls, cards, and lunch outings.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Steen S. Stoner. She is survived by her daughters Sarah Winter-Kolbe (Sidney) of Lusby, MD and Beth Winter-McGarry (Kevin) of Lancaster, PA and four grandchildren, Sophia Murray (Lou), Seth Kolbe, Emily McGarry and Molly McGarry, who will all miss her dearly, as well as her ex-husband Bob Winter of Lusby, MD.
The family will hold a private burial and later a Celebration of life for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ann can be sent to Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, 3908 Corey Road, Harrisburg PA 17109 or Lancaster Food Hub, 812 North Queen Street, Lancaster PA 17603.
