Anna M. Betts, age 58, of Wausau passed away on June 18, 2025 at Wood Aven Health and Rehabilitation with her family by her side.
Anna was born on June 16, 1967 in Wausau to the late Kenneth and Stella (Sporisky) Peters. Anna met the love of her life, Eric Betts, at the High Roller Skating Rink. They were united in marriage in 1987 at First English Lutheran Church. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Anna devoted 40 years to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, serving in a variety of roles. Anna had a soft spot for tigers, a love for the show M*A*S*H*, and a deep appreciation for time spent at camp and on sunny escapes to Jamaica. Her favorite place, though, was often her own garage-where she'd relax with music and the company of loved ones. Nothing brought her more happiness than her family, and she especially shined in her role as Nana .
Anna is survived by her husband, Eric Betts; daughters Toshia and Emily (Mason Baumann) Betts; brother Rob Peters; and grandchildren Leyem, Lauretta, Lottie, Ariyah, Ryder, Mayzie and Milah. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kent and Pete Peters and grandson Sawyer.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Burn Unit at UW Hospital in Madison and at Wood Aven Health and Rehabilitation and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice in Wausau, as well as Pastor Gary Schultz for their care and compassion
