Anna May Boggs, 84, of Escanaba, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the home of her daughter.
She was born on October 15, 1940 in Newberry, MI, daughter to Clarence D. and Dorothy A. (Ferguson) Strawderman.
On May 30, 1959, Anna married Clifford E. Boggs in Dafter, MI.
Anna enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, playing solitaire, playing cards and board games with family, listening to country music, and watching soap operas. She was a faithful Christian who read her bible and enjoyed her guided prayers with her devotionals daily.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford of Escanaba; children, Arnold Boggs of Gladstone, Debbie (John) Flath of Bark River, Charlotte (Jeff) Anderson of Gladstone, April (Mark) Lippold of Green Bay, WI, and Alisa (Eric) King of Gladstone; foster children, Ron (Nancy) Boggs and Ed (Nikki) Boggs; 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; sister, Jessie Hannon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Roy, Raymond, and Randy Boggs, Sr.; grandson, Jeffrey Anderson, Jr.; granddaughters, Christine Nowack and Natalie Kobasic; brothers, Roy, Delbert, and Artie Stawderman; and sisters, Margaret Bell and Elsie VanValkenberg.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 4th at Lakeside Christian Church in Escanaba at 1 p.m. The family will greet friends and relatives beginning at noon. A meal will immediately follow the service.
