Ann Cacace, famously known as “Aunt Babe,” passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, surrounded by family. She was 100 years old.
Ann was born on April 30, 1925, to Antonio and Rose Cacace in Brooklyn, NY, where she lived for 55 years before moving to Rockland County, NY, and eventually Washington, DC. She had a long and successful career as an executive at ITT and continued to work and volunteer until her mid 90s before moving to Ponte Vedra, Florida, where she struck up new friendships and hobbies. Ann was well known for her trivia knowledge, participation in yoga and water aerobics, fashionable style, visits from her family, trips to Beach Diner, and her incredible memory and ability to track the whereabouts and latest news of everyone close to her.
Ann is predeceased by her brothers and sister, Salvatore (Olga), Marie Esposito (Frank), and Joseph. She was loved and admired by generations of nieces and nephews including Teresa Ivey (Tony), Stephanie Relay (Bobby), Christine, Richard (Dorothy); grand nephews and nieces, Felicia (Brian), Teresa, Anthony (Robyn), Christina (Ted), Lauren, Jonathan (Jillian), Sarah (Samir), Nick, Evan (Carolyn), Peter (Jasmine); and 16 great grand nephews and nieces.
This April, Ann celebrated her 100th birthday with her entire family and several close friends, allowing us all to honor her life and share what she meant to each of us. She was a role model to everyone she met throughout her life, which was evident in the stories and memories shared that day.
To honor and celebrate her once more, a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 17, at 10:00 am, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made through contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
