87, of Johnston. passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. McGrath. Born in Providence. she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Emma (Manzo) Castrignano.

Anna was truly the matriarch of her family, the glue that held them all together. Her kindness and willingness to always be there for them will always be remembered. She enjoyed cooking and baking for them all as well and never showed up to a gathering without their favorite dishes and desserts. Before retiring, Anna worked for Federal Electronics. She was a member of the Johnston Senior Center and enjoyed attending their mystery lunches. 

She is survived by her loving children, Karen Nadeau and her husband Jerry of Mapleville, Mark McGrath of Johnston and Kurt McGrath and his partner Nelia Davis of Johnston; cherished grandchildren, Eric Nadeau and his wife Andrea, Shawn McGrath and Andrew Nadeau, and great-granddaughter Ava Nadeau. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Anna is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Thomas Church, Providence. VISITING HOURS will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
