Anna Louise Lofton Combs

Anna Louise Lofton Combs, 82, of Broadway passed away February 27, 2026 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

She was born January 23, 1944 in White Post, VA to the late George Washington Lofton Sr. and Jean Marie Bell Lofton.

Anna retired as a receptionist and office assistant for the Town of Broadway. She was a member of the Brethren of Mtn. Grove Church in Fulks Run, where she served faithfully, but her greatest passion was taking care of her husband and children.

On May 10, 1968 she married Larry "Gene" Combs who survives.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Michele Biller Blackwell of Harrisonburg; a son Rick Biller and wife Sandy of Timberville; granddaughter, Rebekah Blackwell Kuller and husband Brad; grandsons, Richard Blackwell, Robert Blackwell and wife Meredith, Jordan Biller and fiancé Kattie, Cameron Biller; great grandchildren, Anistyn Blackwell, Pierce Kuller, Patrick Kuller; sister, Barbara Lofton Sardelis and husband Steve; brother, Robert Lofton.

Jerry Shiflet will conduct a memorial service on Thursday at 12:00 P.M. at the Brethren of Mtn. Grove Church in Fulks Run. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
