Anna Lee Evans, 98, of White Oak, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born on January 3, 1927, in Cumberland County, Anna was the cherished daughter of the late Junius Floyd Lee and Ada Strickland Lee.
Anna was a source of strength and wisdom for her family and friends. She was married to Rexford James Evans, who predeceased her, along with her son, Dr. James Gregory Evans, her daughter Dianna Lee Knotts, her son-in-law James Knotts, and her grandson Yates Allen Evans. Each of them left a profound impact on her life, and their memories were a constant presence in her heart.
Her legacy continues through her daughter, Patricia E. Clark, and her husband Warren, as well as her daughter-in-law, Susan Evans. Anna took immense pride in her grandchildren: Bryce Ellis Evans, Todd Knotts, Evan S. Clark, and her great-grandchild, Vivian Evans. These younger generations were a source of immense joy for Anna, who cherished every moment spent with them.
The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Tuesday, January 6th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 7th in the White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in White Oak with Reverend Danny Lewis officiating service.
Anna will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her journey through life was marked by the indelible bonds she created, and she leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will be treasured by all those who knew her.
