Anna Rose Fatica, age 90, of Munson Township, passed away peacefully at Ohman Family Living at Blossom in Huntsburg, Ohio.
She was born April 14, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Giuseppe and Carmella (née Gatto) Catanese. On August 29, 1959, Anna married the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" J. Fatica, at Holy Redeemer Church in Collinwood. They made their home in Munson Township in 1961, where they raised their daughter and shared 60 wonderful years together. Tony preceded her in death on February 18, 2020.
Anna worked as a Teller at Security Federal for 18 years, where she was known and loved by coworkers and customers alike. She was admired for her professionalism, warm smile, and joyful heart.
Above all, Anna was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be most fondly remembered for her vibrant presence in her daughter's school community in the 1970's. As a dedicated Room Mom and PTA member at Park Elementary School, Anna left a lasting impression on students and staff alike. Alongside her dear friend Joyce, Anna embraced every opportunity to celebrate the children she lovingly called the "Youngsters." Whether dressing up as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or an Alaskan "Eskimo mom" with a papoose during a lesson on Alaska, Anna went above and beyond to bring joy and imagination to the classroom. She truly embodied the spirit of giving and was a treasured part of the school's history.
Anna loved playing bingo and cards, and she had a deep appreciation for music. She especially enjoyed listening to Andrea Bocelli on her beloved Bose speaker, and her home was always filled with music playing. Her infectious laugh, kind heart, and gentle nature drew people to her - she made friends wherever she went and always left people feeling better for having spent time with her.
Anna is survived by her loving daughter, Carmalyne Fatica of Hambden Township, and her sister, Santina Abate.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff and residents at Ohman Family Living at Blossom for their compassionate care, kindness, and friendship. Anna cherished her time there and the community she became a part of.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the St. Mary Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial immediately after at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Township.
Arrangements are entrusted to Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.burrservice.com.
Anna's legacy is one of love, laughter, and heartfelt service to others. She will be remembered always and missed deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

I was at Mapleview for Physical Therapy after corrective left foot surgery, so it was hard getting around at first. However, when I was more mobile, I ran into "not literally" Nona Anna Fatica. From that point on, we chatted several times daily and on several occasions enjoyed breakfast and dinner together in the dining room. She shared many joyful and humorous stories about some of the same people we knew. She surely made my stay there much more pleasant. What an amazing Lady!!! Rest well my Friend !!!!!!!!!!

It saddens our heart to hear Anna has left her family behind to see the Lord. Her loving husband awaits her return to his side and they once again walk hand in hand as they did in their youth. Our prayers are with the family at this time.

We want to offer our sincere sympathies on the loss of your Mother.
Our Mother is also a Blossom Hill resident and we visit often. Anna
was a bright light on the Assisted Living hall. A few weeks ago we
"rolled" our Mom over to meet her. The second our Mom got to the
doorway, Anna treated her like an old friend and they sat and discussed
the beautiful quilt on the wall, the current puzzle, their common love
of jewelry and the birds at the feeder. Our Mother's mood brightened
after that visit and Anna asked her to visit often. We were happy to meet
you in person on another visit. Again, you have our deepest sympathies
and we thank your Mother for the brief Blossom Hill friendship she
offered our Mother. She will be missed by us and many other Blossom
residents.

Carm

Sincere sympathy in the passing of your Mom. I worked with her at Security Federal. I often thought of her and how"jolly" she always was.
Very witty and a good time to be with.
You´re in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
