Anna R. Geremia

92, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Island Health & Rehabilitation Center in East Providence. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Nancy (DelSesto) Geremia. She was the sister of the late Robert, Michael, Anthony and Louis Geremia.
The youngest of five, Anna took care of her family at a young age after the passing of her mother in 1942. Upon her father's retirement, Anna went to work at Rhode Island Hospital in the 1950s and then later at Roger Williams Hospital where she worked for over 20 years, followed by work at a private practice until retiring in 1995. In her retirement, Anna made many friends on the bingo circuit, and she volunteered at Roger Williams Hospital, the Rhode Island Blood Center, the Cranston Senior Center, and St. Bartholomew's Church. Anna traveled extensively throughout her lifetime, and she especially loved European travel. A talented chef, Anna's specialties included eggplant parmesan, lasagna, and wine biscuits. Most importantly, Anna touched six generations of family members and made friends everywhere she went. The family would also like to thank the Cranston Adult Day Services and the staff of Island Health and Rehabilitation for their compassion and care during this time.
VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
