Anna Gerhardt Obituary
Anna was born April 17, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Phoenix in 1958 where she later married Jesse Robert (Bob) Gerhardt. Their family grew with the birth of 6 children over the years: Jesse (Bobby), Charles (Charlie), Thomas (Tom), Marie, Joseph (Joe), and Annette. Anna was also a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Anna (aka Annie) became well known within the South Mountain community as she waitressed at Ponchos on Central Avenue for 35 years, where she made great memories and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18th at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (6200 South Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona). Rosary will begin promptly at 9:30AM, followed by Mass at 10:00AM. Anna will be laid to rest with her husband at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona) at 12:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Anna's memory to St. Mary's Food Bank.
