Timmy was born on July 15, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Lynde) Gerhardt. He had a gift for lighting up any room with his big smile and truly enjoyed spending time talking and laughing with family and friends. Timmy proudly participated in The Special Olympics for many years, an experience that brought him great joy. He especially looked forward to Thursday bar nights, when he would go out with friends and family, a tradition he cherished. Timmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his 6 siblings, Pat (Duane) Pederson, Larry (Bonnie) Gerhardt, Judy (Denny) Pommrantz, Kathy (Paul) Leddick, Peggy (Jim) Thomas and Wendy Scott; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Timothy was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd and his wife Louise Gerhardt; sister, Carol Galerneau and her husband Don; sister-in-law, Lucy Gerhardt; niece, Stephanie Thomas; and great-nephew, baby Tyler.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Timmy’s niece, Jaime Curtis, for the loving care, support, and comfort she provided, and to Quality Living Systems for the compassionate care and for being a place Timmy proudly called home for the past 30 years.
