Beloved husband of 68 years to Diane Gerhardt (nee Konrad).
Devoted father of Walter Jr. and Kimberly (Joseph) Ahner.
Cherished grandfather of Monica Gerhardt, Natalie (Sam) Nelson and Michael (Carolyne) Ahner.
Proud great-grandfather of Emily and Kate Nelson.
Kind son of the late Paul and Elva Gerhardt (nee Christopher).
Dear brother of the late Paul Gerhardt.
Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Longtime business owner in the beauty industry as well as commercial real estate.
His loves were piloting his airplane and driving his race cars.
Visitation Monday 3-8 p.m.
Funeral Service Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL.
Interment Evergreen Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery
