Anna T. Hannon

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Teresa Hannon on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Teresa was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 23, 1927 and moved back to Ireland when she was 6 years old. She was raised in Kilkee, County Clare and eventually became a nurse in Dublin. That is where she met the love of her life, Edward Hannon. Teresa and Eddie came to the US in 1954 and lived in the Inwood section of Manhattan. In 1973, the family moved to Nanuet, NY where she was an active member of the community and had many close friends. In her earlier years, Teresa was a registered nurse that worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Isabella Geriatric Center, both in NYC.
Teresa is predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Anne (Tessie) Clohessy, brothers, Robert and Stephen and grandsons, Andrew and Patrick. She is survived by her brother, Patrick (Frank) Clohessy, cousin, Mary Downes, children, Terry Hannon (James), Ed Hannon (Cate), Paul Hannon (Mary), grandchildren, Marc Hannon (Colleen), Colleen Hannon (William), Kelly Hannon, Casey Hannon and Megan Hannon and great grandchildren, Emma Hannon, Ryan Hannon and Anna Hannon.
A celebration of Teresa's life will take place with a memorial mass at St. Anthony's Church in Nanuet NY on August 24, 2023 at 10:00AM.
