Thomas P. Lennane

Thomas P. Lennane, 75, of Tomkins Cove, NY, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026 after a long illness.

Tom was born in Mt. Vernon, NY to Stella (Bachowsky) and Andrew Lennane. He grew up in the Bronx and attended Holy Rosary School, followed by Cardinal Farley Military Academy. After high school he went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton. All along the way, "Bean" made many lifelong friends.

Tom worked as an HVAC salesman, most notably at Blasco Supply. Subsequently, he followed in his father's footsteps working on the picturesque waters of the Hudson. Tom spent over twenty years happily greeting and safely ferrying commuters on the NY Waterway route from Haverstraw to Ossining. He was honored for his part in two boater rescues.

Tom enjoyed coaching for CYO Basketball, Just for Fun T-ball, and the Stony Point Little League, where he also served as President. He was an automotive enthusiast and an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks. One of the highlights of his retirement was his first ever trip to see the Giants play in their home ballpark in San Francisco.

Tom is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Donna (Bottalico) Lennane; Sons Andrew (Terri), Michael (Elizabeth), and Daniel (Jaclyn); Grandchildren Ava, Luke, John, and Benjamin; Sister Marilyn (Fouad). He enjoyed being part of a large loving family including his in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Joyce.

Funeral services will be held at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY 10994 on Saturday, March 14th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Catholic mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 16th at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY 10980. Internment will take place at a later date.
