Anna Jannetta (DiMicco), 97, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, January 25th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony E. Jannetta.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Santina (Betrone) DiMicco. After graduating from Central High School she went on to work in her fathers store on Atwells Avenue in Providence before moving to Miami, Florida with her husband where she worked as an office manager at Tropical Chevrolet. Missing her siblings and family she and Anthony returned to Rhode Island, settling in Pawtucket where they created a most loving home that hosted many for impromptu visits, holiday gatherings, and Sunday dinners. Anna was most happy in her home entertaining, cooking and baking for others, and chatting with family and friends at the dining room table.
A woman of deep faith, she served as parish secretary at St. Maria Goretti Church for 28 years. She loved her work and adored her church. She and Anthony served on endless parish committees, always willing to lend a helping hand. Anna will fondly be remembered as a faith-filled, loving, kind, and adoring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved to spend time with her family, knit and faithfully watch, or listen to, her beloved New York Yankees.
Anna is predeceased by her parents Ernest and Santina, sisters Teresa Maini, Tina Calitri and brothers Domenic DiMicco and Loreto DiMicco.
She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Jannetta (Cathy) of Webster, New York and Marco Island, Florida, and Michael Jannetta (Maureen) of Winter Garden, Florida. She was a loving grandmother to Kerry Dias (Tony) of Winter Garden, Florida, Erin Harper (Jeff) of Webster, New York, Bianca Thomas (Tyson) of Winter Garden, Florida, Stephanie Jannetta of Bristol, Connecticut, and Olivia Jannetta of Winter Garden, Florida. Great grandmother of Rachel and Brian Harper, and Gianna and Ryan Dias.
