Anna Kerner

Anna "Nancy" Kerner (nee Haas), age 95, of Philadelphia, formerly of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 17, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 65 years of the late Charles "Bud" Kerner and the loving mother of Ann Saddel (Charles), John Kerner (Wendy), L. Teal Mercer (William) and Karen Lucas (Roy). She also is survived by 10 grandchildren; Barbara, Deborah, David, Michael, Kathleen, Joseph, Daniel, Theresa, Aaron, and Maria; and 11 great-grandchildren; Jack, Kyle, Rosemary, Mickey, Marcus, Kira, Emmerson, Maclin, Penny, William, and Anne. Nancy was dedicated to her extended family and friends.
Nancy lived at Wesley Enhanced Living at Pennypack for 14 years. While living there, she enjoyed many endearing friendships. Prior to that, Nancy lived in Winter Haven, Florida, for ten years and Havertown for forty-two years. After a long career in education, she enjoyed traveling by RV through 47 states with Bud. Nancy enjoyed gardening, reading, doing artwork, playing games with family and friends, and hosting parties. She really loved chocolate.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 19th, followed by a Mass dedicated to her memory at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley Enhanced Living at Pennypack, in Wesley Hall (entrance behind building). The burial will be private.
