Anna Emma Krueger left peacefully on the first day of spring, March 20, 2025, at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, under the care of Interim Healthcare & Hospice. She was born in Merrill, Wisconsin on July 9, 1930.
She was one of three children born to Anna Khail and Fred Friman Sr. She had two older brothers, Frank Friman, who was born in 1922, and passed away shortly after birth and Fred Friman Jr., with wife Edna, who was born in March of 1924, and passed away in March of 2005.
She married Ernest Krueger Jr. at the Lincoln County Courthouse on May 7, 1959, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2011. Anna worked at a variety of places, including Merrill Candy and Weinbrenner Shoe Company. Anna and Ernie made it a point to enjoy traveling in their camper, which they shared with their family as well. Anna had a passion for gardening, canning, and baking. However, it was clear Anna’s favorite activity was having her friends and family gathered around her kitchen table. She loved her family and the Lord dearly, and will hold a special place in their hearts forevermore.
Anna and Ernie had 3 sons in their lifetime. Fred Krueger Jr., who passed away in 2007, Michael (Karen), who passed away on May 31, 2020 and Jeffrey (Sandra), who passed away on April 11, 2020.
Anna is survived by her daughter-in-law: Sandra Krueger, grandchildren: Eric (Jenny) Krueger, Jennifer A. (Grant) Nelson, Claire A. Krueger and 2 great grandchildren: Gabrielle and Joseph. Anna is also survived by several cousins, Jeanette Van Dyke and Emil Havlicek.
The funeral service for Anna will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2025, at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral Home at 903 East 3rd Street, Merrill. Rev. Michael Southcombe will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
