Anna Marie Lewis

Anna Marie Lewis, 55, of Gaston, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on December 12, 1969, in Seabrook, Maryland, to a family she loved deeply and carried in her heart throughout her life.
Anna was the devoted wife of her high school sweetheart, Frederick "Freddy" Joseph Lewis, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, adventures, and countless trips exploring festivals and events across Indiana and the United States. Together they built a life full of laughter, travel, and cherished memories.
She was a loving mother to F. Louis Patterson and Ashley Marie Whitney, and a proud grandmother to Elijah Whitney, Tristan Whitney, and Torin Patterson. She was also a caring sister to Sheila Hall, Amanda Danielle, Maria Lynn Miller, and a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, Ernest Talton, Marvin Talton, Brian Talton, Darlene Thomas, Amanda Jones and Carlene Ray. Anna's closest friendships (among many others) with Mindy Crewdson Lacy, Joy Terry, Lisa Anderson, and Ashley Hides brought her joy and companionship that enriched her life.
Anna worked as a supervisor for AVI Food Systems, where she ran the cafeteria with dedication and warmth, known for her kindness and steady presence. Beyond her work, she was a gifted creator, spending her time crafting gnomes and clothing for the local Covered Bridge Festivals. She also found joy in tending her garden, where she grew vegetables and fruits to share with her family.
Her greatest happiness came from time spent with her children and grandchildren-whether it was traveling, attending sports games, enjoying amusement parks, or simply being present with them. To everyone who knew her, Anna was devoted, nurturing, and generous. She gave selflessly, even when she had little to spare, and her love was the foundation of her family.
Anna's spirit will live on in the love she poured into her family, her friends, and the community she touched. She will be remembered for her devotion, her care, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial is scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Thompson Cemetery, Gaston, Indiana.
