Anna Jeanette Long

Anna Jeanette (Fraley) Long, 84, of Keyser, WV, formerly of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Stonerise of Keyser.
Born on October 16, 1938 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Clarice Marie (Shobe) Fraley. She also was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband of 43 years, James H. Long, Jr.
Jeanette was a 1956 graduate of Ridgeley High School. She later went on to graduate from nursing school and worked in various doctor's offices and hospitals until settling in at Spring Grove Hospital in Catonsville, MD. She retired there after 30 plus years of service as a night shift supervisor.
Jeanette also had a great love for her pets throughout the years, having had two Schnauzers and multiple cats.
Surviving are her sons, Craig A. Fraley and wife Joyce (Spencer) Fraley of Keyser; her granddaughter, Melissa "Missy" Fraley of Ridgeley; her great grandson, Aaron M. Bartik of Morgantown, WV; stepsons, Wayne Long and wife Denise of Manchester, MD and Steve Long and wife Mary of Ashburn, VA; a stepdaughter, Vandi Stewart and husband Dave of Eldersburg, MD; step grandchildren, Wyatt Long and wife Hannah of Spring Grove, PA, Chelsea Stewart and husband Connor Flint of Washington, DC and Taylor Stewart of Boston, MA and a step great granddaughter, Josie Long. Also surviving is her brother, Robert Fraley and wife Anne of Freeport, IL.
At Jeanette's request, there will be no visitation or services. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, WV, is in charge of the arrangements.
The family would like to thank the staff of Potomac Valley Hospital and Stonerise of Keyser for their wonderful help and care over the past two months.
