Anna Mae Maultsby, 75, of Lewistown, Montana, formerly of Rockford, Illinois passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 2, 2025. She was born May 23, 1950 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the daughter of Giles and Ruby (Hill) Whitson, Sr.
Anna graduated from Auburn High School, class of 1969. She was employed as a secretary for Mueller Pinehurst Dairy, very adept at the now lost art of shorthand. Later, she worked as an activity aide for Bright Side Adult Daycare.
Anna was a woman of deep faith, active for many years in her church in various children's ministries including AWANA and starting her church's Sunday school class for babies. She enjoyed doing hand embroidery and painting with Artex oil paints. Anna loved anything the color yellow and anything with butterflies, and donating to children's causes such as St. Jude.
Anna is love and missed by her children and grandchildren, Annette Delong (son, Byron) and Jennittia Tikkanen (children, Kristen, Tyler, Bryce, and Judson); siblings, Giles Whitson, Jr., Sharon Whitson, Linda St. Romain, Harold Whitson, and Zane Whitson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was loved by many friends in Lewistown, MT as well, especially her very good friend, Effie Mae Mihlfeld. Anna had a kind heart and was very social with everyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Alex, Wayne, and Don.
Funeral Services are planned for Monday, August 11th, 1:30 to 2:15 p.m., Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 7000 W. State St., Rockford, IL, 61102.
