Lora Maultsby Obituary
Carol was born in Wilmington on December 2, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert H. Wright and Minnie Bell Miller Wright, her husband of forty-three years Billy Lee Maultsby, Sr., three siblings Leon Wright, Edsel Wright, and Joy Sutton.
She is survived by her youngest sister Rachel Cobb, her sons Billy Jr. (Kim) and Ted (Julie), five grandchildren Wendy, Carrie, Lauren, Kelly, and Cameron. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews to include special nieces Peggy and Patricia who accompanied her on numerous occasions during her senior years.
Carol better known as "Mickey" loved her family dearly and enjoyed being involved in their many gatherings. "Mickey" enjoyed surf fishing, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and going to country music concerts with her sisters and nieces. She especially loved her flowers and birds caring for them as long as her health allowed.
Mom may you rest in peace. We will always love you dearly.
Funeral services are planned for 10 am Tuesday November 11, 2025 at The Wilmington Funeral Chapel led by Rev. Donald Smith, a dear family friend.
Her final resting place will be with her husband Bill in the Maultsby/House section of Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, remember her with memorial donations to Cedar Cove Assisted Living Memory Care Unit or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
