Anna M. (Accordino) Mersinger, 96, formerly of Colony Park, passed away February 8, 2026, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Richard L. Mersinger, who passed away March 15, 1997. They were married May 1, 1954.
Born January 2, 1930, in Reading, she was the daughter the late Frank N. and Sebastiana (Ugliuzza) Accordino.
Anna worked at the former Kelray Knitting Mills, West Reading and later at Boscov's North in their Garden Center, retiring in 1995.
She loved playing bingo, cards, dancing, and going to her monthly lunch outings with her sisters and cousins. She also enjoyed her monthly card club gatherings of over six decades with her sisters and those same cousins.
Anna is survived by her sons, Richard, husband of Sherry (Smith) Mersinger and David, husband of Cindy (Yerger) Mersinger, both of Reading; five grandchildren: Scott Mersinger, husband of Kristin (Henry) of Pittsburgh; Kristy (Mersinger), wife of Samuel McCarthy of Alexandria, VA; Lindsey (Mersinger), wife of Justin Jacques of Silver Spring, MD; Wesley Mersinger, husband of Rosalie (Mannino) of Bridgewater, NJ; and Tyler Mersinger of Reading. Additional survivors are her sister, Rose Milanek, brother-in-law, Robert Kostival, and sister-in-law, Juree Accordino of Tampa, FL as well as four great grandchildren: Grace, Emma, Rocco, and Briella.
She was predeceased by her husband and parents as well as by sisters, Mary Quartieri, Elena Kostival, and Sgt. Frank Accordino, USAF.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February, 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Ave. West Reading.
