Anna Michael

On the morning of February 19th, 2026, we bade farewell to a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, Anna Marie Michael. Born in Elwood, Indiana, on June 12, 1969, Anna lived a full and joy-filled life. Known for her supportive spirit and humble nature, Anna poured her generous heart into everything she did, leaving a remarkable imprint on all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Anna, a retired production worker from Roche, exuded an infectious enthusiasm for life. She relished in the simple pleasures, such as singing gospel music, baking pies, and antique shopping. Her love for bedazzling things was only surpassed by her love for her family and her strong Faith in the Lord. Anna was a fixture at Wheeler's Truck Stop, where she waited tables for many years. Her generosity shone brightly as she made sure everyone was always fed and offered help to anyone in need. Anna had a knack for making holidays special, inviting family and ensuring everyone felt loved and cared for. She was an avid reader, particularly of the Bible, and enjoyed shopping with her girls. Anna's love for seeing her family succeed was a testament to her supportive nature.

Anna is survived by her children, Farron (Kyle Shepard) Waymire, Tracy (Joe) Outlaw, Augustus Hunnicutt, Jessica (Jess) Woodburn, and Marlee (Trevor Gibson) Ailstock; her siblings, Debbie McCormick, Wanda Abbott, Ralph House, Gary Foor, Charles Groover, Brenda Alfrey, Debbie Smith, Loretta Thompson, and Christy Souders; her grandchildren, including Shyanna, Shelby (Caleb), Dalton, Paxton, Liam, Ella, Mary, Lucas, Mason, Waylen, Wavelen, and Noah; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Groover and Arthur Foor, and her siblings, Betty Groover, Neil Foor, Tammy Foor, Jerry Foor, Emily Faye, Missy Taylor, and Paul Groover and several in-laws.

A viewing for Anna will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 4:00pmEST at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 South Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana, 46036. The funeral service will take place the following day, Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00am with family friend Dale Fouch officiating. Burial will follow in Elwood City Cemetery.
