Anna Rosa Miller, 88, of Athens Ga died on Wednesday June 25,2025. The daughter of the late Michael and Anna Maria Hey of Ansbach, Germany. She was born in Landau, Germany. The oldest of ten children. She married Sergeant Victor Miller in 1965 and moved to the United States that same year. She proudly became an American citizen in 1971. As a military family they traveled internationally, finally retiring in Athens, Ga in 1981. Anna Rosa was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her husband of 60 years; Victor Miller Sr., her children Robert Miller (Lise’), Patricia Ruthberg (Roger), Maryanne Orr (Kevin), Victor Miller Jr. (Pam), Diane Vance. 7 grandchildren Catherine, Kerstin, Michael, Stefanie, Grace (Connor), Christopher, Abbigail, 1 Great grandchild Oliver 6 siblings Bobby, Edith, Mike, Tony, Joseph and many nieces and nephews. Her hobbies included knitting, quilting, avid camper and hiker, world traveler and multiple medal winner in the YWCO senior swimming Olympics. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for many years.
Funeral Mass will be Monday July 7, 2025 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family will be at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday , July 6, 2025.at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the YWCO; 562 Research Drive, Athens GA. 30605.
