Mrs. Anna D. "Ann Selph" Mills

Mrs. Anna D. "Ann" Mills, 86, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 10:24 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 3, 1939, near Herman, Illinois, the daughter of Mylon and Beulah (Bramlett) Selph. She married Frank Mills, Jr., on May 4, 1958, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2023, after 65 years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Douglas (and Denise) Mills of Galesburg; a daughter, Lori (and Mark) Butkovich of Galesburg; a sister, Virginia Sorrells-Whitenack of Viola, Illinois; three grandchildren, Jason (and Bree) Mills, Blake (and Hannah) Butkovich, and Cassidy (and David) Hazlett; five great-grandchildren, Jersee and Jaclyn Mills, Vivianne and Mylon Hazlett, and Olivia Butkovich; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leroy Selph.

Ann graduated from Abingdon High School in 1956. She worked for Intra State Telephone Company, Bergner's, and Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She attended Bethel Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and she served as a Reading Buddy at Cook Middle School. Ann loved entertaining family and friends in her home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their activities and riding bicycles with them. Most of all, she loved the Lord.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Illinois. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
