Anna Ruth Minto

1935 - 2025

Anna Ruth "A. Ruth" Minto, 90, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Saltsburg, passed away on Nov. 26, 2025, at her daughter's home. She was born on Nov. 1, 1935, in Loyalhanna Township, a daughter of the late Boyd and Esther Helgert Kelly. Ruth was a member of Norwin Alliance Church and also the Eastern Star in Irwin. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 57 in Saltsburg, and she was a past Department President of the Pennsylvania American Legion. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a driver with Air Ride Company. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, James, Charles, John, Robert, Richard, and Donald Kelly; and three sisters, Barbara Jean Harkleroad, Arlene Wimberly, and Kathy Gelmi. She is survived by one son, Mark Gould (Beverly); two daughters, Lori Deliman (Michael) and Tracy Ankney (Joel); two brothers, Thomas and Jerry Kelly; two sisters, Irene Bell and Janet Irwin; grandchildren, Justin Ankney (Michelle), Rachel Ankney, Curtis Vanhorn, Josh Deliman (Katie), Colleen Ellig (Josh), Katie Fournier (Josh), and David Gould (Ally); 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private in Twin Valley Cemetery. Ruth's family would like to extend their gratitude to the caretakers at Allegheny Health Network Hospice.
