Brian Matthew Minto of Merrill, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. He was 58 years old. Brian was born on June 13, 1967, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Marv and Tuddy (Ducham) Minto. He was a proud 1988 graduate of Merrill High School. Following graduation, Brian began working in the construction field. He worked for various companies over the years, his latest employer being NC Underground LLC as a direction bore. Through mutual friends, he met the love of his life, April Rose Cornejo. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on May 22, 2009; she survives him. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted husband and father. The heart and soul of his being was his love for his children. An avid outdoorsman, Brian enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching football and hockey, always rooting for his favorite teams the Detroit Lions and Redwings. He will forever be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need, his enthusiasm when he had conversations about rock bands, for truly living an amazing life filled with many wonderful stories and memories.
Surviving are his wife of 16 years, April R. Minto of Merrill; five children: Christopher Turner of St. Charles; Breanne Cornejo of Merrill; Teah (Noah) Minto of Midland; Carman Minto of Merrill; Cole Minto of Merrill; a brother, Patrick Minto of Merrill; a nephew, James Michael Minto Jr. of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marv and Tuddy Minto; a brother, James Michael Minto; and a special uncle, Rich Ducham.
