Greg Alan Wagner, age 50 of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 18, 2026, due to injuries received in an auto accident.
Greg was born on March 6, 1975, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Lawrence Joseph Wagner and Patricia Sue (Adams) Wagner.
Greg graduated from Merrill High School in 1993. After high school he attended Delta College, where he received his associates degree in CNC (Computer Numerical Control). He was currently working for Viant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Prior to working with Viant he was employed by Merrill Tool, Eaton Manufacturing, ITT where he was a union representative, and C&A Tool Engineering for 15 years.
He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Greg was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He loved snowmobiling and belonged to the Indiana Snowmobile Association, the Michigan Snowmobile Association, and the Indiana Vintage Snowmobile Association. He loved spending time on the water in Houghton Lake, MI. He enjoyed these activities with his beloved son Andy. Greg was also an avid Corvette enthusiast and collector of International Tractors.
Greg is survived by his son Andrew Jack “Cheese” Wagner; parents Lawrence and Patricia “Sue” Wagner; two brothers Mark (Eileen) Wagner and John (Karen Fraser) Wagner; one nephew Logan Vorich; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 445 S Midland St, Merrill, MI 48637, where friends may visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service. Rev. Fr. Vincent Oguejiofor will officiate the service. Following the service friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in the church hall, and interment will take place afterwards at St. Andrew Cemetery in Saginaw.
