Anna "Sue" Montgomery, 81

Anna "Sue" Montgomery, 81, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1944. Sue was a member of Big Run United Baptist Church and was strong in her faith. She was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. She loved her family deeply and showed that love through the dedication, care, and comfort she brought to them each day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Bertie Hawkins; and by her siblings, Virginia Lyall, Theda Gay Farmer, Donald Ray Hawkins, Janet Moore, Chalmer Hawkins, Patsy Montgomery, and Billie Mullins.

Sue is survived by her loving husband, Alonzo Montgomery, whom she married on April 13, 1963; her children, Gregory Montgomery (Paula) and Russell Montgomery (Ashley); a sister, Leona Moore; a brother, Ronnie Hawkins (Shirley); her grandchildren, Ryan Montgomery (Jessica), Sarah Miller (Kevin), Adam Montgomery, Andrew Nichols, Mike Harris (Rebecca), and Chad Harris; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Sue will be deeply missed by her family and by the many others who were blessed to know and love her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Big Run United Baptist Church in Lucasville, Ohio, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon at the church. Services will be officiated by Brothers Kelly Carver and Charlie Montgomery, with interment to follow at Big Run Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
