Anna May “Nancy” Orr, passed away peacefully with her son and daughter by her side, on January 23, 2026, in Exeter Township, PA, at the age of 104 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Pyott and Anna May “Nancy” (née Logue) Kinsey.
For most of her adult life, Nancy made a loving home in Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
In the wake of World War II, Nancy found love in George A. Orr, a returning GI who would later become her dear husband until his passing in 1988. Together, they nurtured a family welcoming the gifts of two children into their lives.
Nancy was dedicated to her family and spent her children’s early years as a stay-at-home mom, keeping a dependable household where things were always taken care of. As her children grew, she returned to the workforce and found fulfillment in her role at Strawbridge & Clothier in Center City, Philadelphia, where she worked until her retirement. Nancy’s diligent nature extended to all areas of her life, including her adored home. She took great pride in her home and always kept it well maintained, neat and tidy.
Outside of her dedication to her family, home and work, Nancy enjoyed reading, dancing, and watching movies. She was especially proud of her family and valued the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be remembered and appreciated for years to come.
Nancy was the wife of the late George A. Orr; the loving mother of Edward J. Orr and Joyce E. Kelly (Bern); the devoted grandmother, lovingly known as “Gram” of Zachary Orr-Crawford (Laura Crawford) and Melissa Cohen (Drew); and caring great-grandmother of Kaylie May Cohen, Shay Winter Cohen, and Sadie Lynn Crawford. Nancy is predeceased by her dear sister, Marian Sloan.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor Nancy’s life at a Visitation on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 10:00 to 11:15 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by a Funeral Service commencing at 11:15 AM. Interment private.
