Anna Pernie Obituary

Visit the Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, LTD. website to view the full obituary.

Anna Mary Pernie (better known by the name that she gave herself as a young child, Nancy), 92, of Quakertown, PA, died on January 3, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Nancy was the only daughter of the late William A. Fries and the late Anna Mary Fries (Van Osten).

Nancy graduated from Frankford High School in 1951. After High School, she continued her education by attending Modeling School.

She worked in a tax office after attending school and then got married and became a homemaker. When her children were grown, she returned to the work force as a Secretary/Dispatcher for a trucking company. Eventually she became a Legal Secretary and then Secretary to the Head of the Adoption Unit at the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia, PA. She retired from this position in 2002 at the age of 69.

She served as a Pennsylvania Notary Public for about 40 years, right up to the time of her death.

Her passion for life extended well beyond her professional endeavors. In her free time, Nancy enjoyed crafting, flower arranging, baking, cake decorating, reading, raising her children, and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At the time of her death, she considered herself a member of Calvary Chapel Quakertown and, prior to that, Calvary Chapel Philadelphia, and prior to that, the Wissinoming United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. Shortly after moving to Quakertown, she helped teach in the Children’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Quakertown with her daughter. Nancy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in the early eighties, so we know that she is in Heaven with Jesus and all who are saved will see her again.

Nancy always had a special place in her heart for her family. She was happiest when she was with them. She loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.

Nancy will be dearly missed by her children, Daniel W. Pernie (Dorothy) and Tammy A. Langenberg (Don); her grandchildren, Aubrey A. Pernie (Bryan), Joshua J. Langenberg (Kaeleigh); her step-grandchildren, Donald H. Langenberg, Jr. (Lisa), Christopher R. Langenberg (Kim), Michael S. Langenberg (Jennifer); her great-grandchildren, Brandon Pernie, Kelly Pernie, Caleb Burgess, Mia Pernie, Gauge Pernie; her step-great-grandchildren, Alexander, Abigail, Thomas; her “like a family members,” Diane E. Gerenger, like a daughter, and Kristin Gerenger Daniels (Corey), Kyle Gerenger, and Nathan Carlucci, like grandchildren; along with her extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her grandson, Brandon D. Pernie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Calvary Chapel Quakertown at 347 New Street in Quakertown, PA on Saturday, February 21, 2026; with Visitation at 10:00 a.m., the Service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Luncheon at Calvary Chapel Quakertown at Noon. All are welcome.
