Anna Marie Perretti

Anna Marie L. Perretti 87 years old of Berkeley Twp. passed away January 14, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Newark, NJ to the late Pasquale and Adelina (Ruocco) Smorra. Anna Marie was an assistant Vice President at the Carteret Bank in Madison, NJ. She went on to the Trust Co. Bank, Jersey City, NJ until her retirement.
Anna Marie was the heart and matriarch of her large Italian family, hosting holidays for years in both Union and Toms River. Growing up, her children and grandchildren knew that no one could come close to her famous gravy or lasagna. From summer vacations down in Wildwood Crest to Friday pizza dates with her great grandsons, Anna Marie was always surrounded by loved ones. Family was always her priority.
Throughout her years, Anna Marie enjoyed game nights and outings with her fellow Red Hats and Tuesday breakfast club tradition, where her and her best friend, Linda, could be found each week enjoying a good cup of coffee. Sunday night mass followed by dinner with her friends was also a favorite pastime.
She will be missed immensely by all who experienced her bright light but will live forever in all the beautiful memories she helped create.
She was the wife of the late Richard J. Perretti Sr. who died February 17, 1981.
Surviving are her son Richard Jr. and his wife Marilyn, daughters Maria Korba and her husband Paul and daughter Adele Schnering. Also surviving are her grandchildren Nicole, Richard III, Marilyn, Kyle, Alexandria, Nicholas and Mario and her great grandchildren Geno and Lorenzo.
Visiting will be Wednesday 3:00pm until 7:00pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christain Burial will be held on Thursday 10:00am at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, arrive at the funeral home 9:00am. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
